Title: Vice President
Seeking an experienced Senior Database Architect - Jersey City, NJ.
Must be a strong Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence Product Manager with knowledge of Product Management and previous financial experience required.
Our client is launching an exciting new corporate entity, which will provide IT outsourcing as well as technology related products and services to other financial institutions. It will leverage the current offshore development assets and expand to include business process outsourcing.
Candidate must be a self-motivated entrepreneur who can work independently with various technology, communicate efficiently, and work as a pioneer in a rapidly growing new revenue center. Must be adept at working with other team members with specialized competencies to ensure the success of the common goal. Candidate should have experience in some (not necessarily all) the following:
- Evaluate competitive products and recommend product direction based on customer and market comparisons.
- Pre-sales and customer management experience.
- Experience in architecture and delivering data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.
- Experience in the brokerage industry.

Analyzes, develops, tests and implements complex physical database designs in support of corporate and client area information systems requirements. Projects are large in scope, typically cross-functional and technically difficult, often involving combinations of platforms and computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server) and database technologies (e.g., relational and object oriented).
Requires excellent analytical ability, communication and consultative skills, strong judgment and problem analysis techniques, an in-depth knowledge of the business unit's functions and applications, and a broad knowledge of diverse database technologies, tools and alternatives. Must have the ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff.
At least eight, typically ten or more years of solid work experience in IT in diverse technological environments with a minimum of six years experience in file structures, design and retrieval, access methods, db software, control and development of standards, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Master’s degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of product management experience
- 10+ years of data warehouse experience.
- MS SQL Server, Oracle, Informatica, Business Objects, WebFOCUS
- Good understanding of high availability systems.
