Job Description:
A solutions architect will be engaged in pre-sales activities by providing subject matter expertise to the sales organization and customer to facilitate lead qualification and development, design and architecture, configuration development, and assistance through the quotation process. The architect will also be called upon to perform services after the sale to implement solutions or provide professional services to our customers. Fulfilling manufacturing certification requirements are expected of all architects per their area of expertise or as directed by management.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to identify the functional and technical requirements and constraints
- Design and Engineer detailed technical solutions that meet or exceed the requirements
- Create all supporting documentation including Proposals, Statements of Work, Network Diagrams, etc.
- Create an implementation approach including major phases and required roles
- Present and articulate the solution and implementation approach to the customer
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Extensive experience in the design, planning, and implementation of complex communications solutions
- Skill and experience in multiple technology disciplines
- The ability to communicate complex solutions in a simple and straight-forward way
- The consulting skills required to work with customers to take ambiguous goals and turn them into actionable projects
- Team-oriented performer with an outstanding work ethic
- Manufacturer certifications are desired. For example: IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Oracle, Microsoft, NetApp, VMWare, Microsoft, Red Hat.
