With 13 years of IT experience, Andrew comes to Unitiv with experience designing and implementing enterprise data centers in a global market. Unitiv will utilize Andrew’s storage experience to be the lead architect for their Data Management practice. His qualifications for this role include senior-level certifications for HP, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM, Symantec, Red Hat and Microsoft.

The Giving Tree identifies and develops adoptive families that will provide loving and stable homes for children from foster care.   Since its founding in 1997, The Giving Tree has placed over 250 former foster children into adoptive families and supported thousands of individuals through their Adoption Support Program.,

ABA11 Finalist VAlpharetta, GA – May 17, 2011 – Unitiv’s Intelligent Help Desk Customer Service Team was recently named a Finalist in the Customer Service Team of Year category in The 2011 American Business Awards.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

This year’s Stevie Award winners will be announced during the annual gala on Monday, June 20 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.  More than six-hundred executives from across the U.S.A. are expected to attend.  The event will benefit Camfed (camfed.org), which fights poverty and HIV/AIDS in Africa by educating girls and empowering women to become leaders of change. The ceremonies will be broadcast on radio nationwide by the Business TalkRadio Network.

Save our petsThrough July 1, 2011, Unitiv will be collecting canned and bagged dog and cat food at their corporate headquarters to be donated to Save Our Pets Food Bank.

The Save Our Pets Food Bank provides free dog and cat food in the metro Atlanta area to low income pet owners, senior citizens, and people who are having financial difficulties during the recession.

Since July 2008, Save Our Pets Food Bank has helped over 700 families, 200 pet rescue organizations and shelters as well as over 1,000 pets with much needed food and supplies.

build a bear 2011As partners of a charity organized by Atlanta's hit radio station, Q100®, Unitiv's Client Services Team recently gathered for our annual Build-a-Bear Charity event, sponsoring the children of Bert's Big Adventure®.  Bert’s Big Adventure® was established for Atlanta children with a chronic and/or terminal illness and their families to be able to take a trip of a lifetime to Disney World®.   

Unitiv's Client Services team proudly hosts the charity event in which our staff builds a bear for all of the Bert's Big Adventure® kids, as well as a bear for each of their siblings.  The bears are customized to reflect each child's personality based on information that is provided to us from Bert's Big Adventure®, down to the clothes, colors, and accessories.  The bears are donated, and the staff of Bert's Big Adventure® provide the bears to the children as they embark on their trip.

According to the Bert's Big Adventure® organization, the participants in BBA are able to “establish lasting friendships with others facing similar challenges, experience events and venues that otherwise could not be afforded, and enjoy the gift of intimate family time together where the focus turns from living with an illness to making magical moments.”  We are thrilled and honored to be a partner in this tradition, and look forward to building bears for charity in 2012!
